I am 20 years old and have tried a couple times to finance a car. I keep getting denied because i have no credit history except for student loans and being denied for a past credit card. I have since gotten a secured card where i put 300 dollars. I was thinking about maybe financing something small like a phone and maybe after a couple months i could reapply for a car after being consistent. Will the phone financing help or make my situation worse?
