The Hustle! When I hear the word hustle, I always have mixed feelings. On one hand, I think of hard work, the daily “grind”, the mundane tasks and non sexy side of what it takes to make shit happen and finally, taking action. On the other hand, I think of all the toolbags who abuse this word to pretend like they are always working and even worse, someone who is always working an angle or trying to take some serious shortcuts, even if the most direct route is the way to go. Then again, one of my favorite T.I. songs: Go Get It
About The Hustle
“Our signature product is a daily email that’s changing how young professionals consume news. Each morning we send users the news they need to start their day. Using our bold, irreverent, and authentic voice, The Hustle cuts through all the nonsense out there and concisely tells users what they need to know and how it impacts them.”
If you want fun, well written and easy to digest listings of all the news headlines you care about, this is for you. It’s bullshit free, and it’s badass. Subscribe to the hustle. – Julio Medina
It was founded by Sam Parr and John Havell. These guys are modern day geniuses. They are taking email marketing to a new level by simply adding value and doing it daily. They do provide an advertising opportunity, as well. The audience is listed as primarily
- 20-to-30 year tech savvy males.
- A younger, more tech savvy version of the Wall Street Journal audience.
- Sites also visited: Techcrunch, Business Insider, Medium.com, Wired, Fast Company
- 62% in the US, 8% in Canada, and 6% in UK.
They have events and once you get a few emails and become a fan (thank me later), you can go check out their events page, and see if there is anything coming up. The HustleCon is something I want to attend in June. It looks awesome!
They have a blog at the hustle, and you can check it out here: The Hustle Blog
The Daily Email
If you don’t want to just take my word for it, you can check out the daily e-mail on their page, The Hustle. I have no doubt that when you read it, you’ll see what I’ve been trying to tell you above. Enjoy it. Maybe we will bump into each other at HustleCon? Let me know if you’ll be there!
You know I love music. The team at the hustle kicks things up a notch. They have a Spotify Playlist with some good tunes. Check it:
Well those are my thought’s on The Hustle. Enjoy it…
